Plumbers Van Conversion Package

(Example based on Transit Custom LWB High Roof)

This is a great example of our custom build service, combining standard modules with custom design to deliver a bespoke product with fast turnaround and a reasonable budget.

False floor

• A simple solution for storing long pipes, tubes and trunking . Make use of the whole length of the van without cluttering up the load space.

• 18mm hardwood ply deck on timber dividers creates compartments and gives a very sturdy base for the rest of the build.

• Aluminium slide-out compartments on self locking nylon runners make it easy to access shorter lengths. Simple, reliable and space efficient

• Fitted with two sliding drawers and one open compartment

Racking base

• L -shaped steel frame with 18mm hardwood ply top

• Bolted to the structure of the van to give a very solid base for the modular racking. Extremely secure as it is tied into the floor, bulkhead and C pillar and L shape makes it inherently stable.

• Sized to take modular tool boxes underneath

Modular Racking

• A range of aluminum modular racks are available to hold, parts bins, assorter boxes, euro crates, peli cases and tool cases

• Up to 4 modules on the Offside and 2 on the bulkhead

• Racking can also be fitted with light or heavy duty inserts to take loose items

• This example has a custom made rack based on three 1x5 tray modules sized for Stanley FatMax boxes, welded together and raised on legs to create a bay for 600x400mm crates. The whole assembly can be removed by one person in a few minutes to create extra space for very large items.

Bulkhead Rack

• Plenty of room for a large tool chest which can be bolted directly to the plywood deck and bulkhead.

• Overhead shelf for large euro crates

High Level racking

• Offside : rails for 9 standard size parts bins with retaining bars

• Bulkhead : lightweight extension to bin above driver's compartment , ideal for towels and other light, bulky items.

Misc

• Compartment behind NS door pillar holds 2 gas torches

• 18mm end panels at OS rear and side doors. Stable, flat surface for screw-mount tool and accessory holders such as battery caddies and chargers, tool rails, first aid kits and other frequently used small items

• Aluminium step-up, can be used on its own or fits on top of a DeWalt tool box.
